That ‘we need to talk’ moment that we’ve all played one role or the other in, at some time or another in life. ‘Telling Me’ is the quintessential encapsulation of that moment from the perspective of each lover in the timeless dance we call love. Vulnerable, honest, crushed, heart-wrenched emotions are artfully conveyed in a lyrical and melodic entanglement that speaks to the love lost or left ache that lingers in the soul.

Singers Dennis Winslow and Jeanne McKirchy fill the dual protagonists’ roles, interchanging lyrical dialogue seamlessly to create the feeling one is listening in to a conversation, lending a further layer of intimacy to the listening experience. The smokey, smoldering atmosphere of ‘Telling Me’ is anchored by Dennis Winslow on guitars, Ron Spencer on bass and mandolin, and Brian David Willis on drums, guitars, slide and keyboards.

 

‘Telling Me’ is the third single release from the McKirchy Winslow Band’s upcoming EP All At Once, following their originals ‘2-1’ and Christmas song ‘Christmas Card’.
